Shioru

A small guide who came to content eater from a land of magic, swords and fairies, through the gaps between story pages.

Ears like book pages and a star-patterned cape. Shioru knows almost nothing about anime and manga in the human world yet, and badly wants to learn. Asking "is it like ... back home?" helps the eaters explain. Shioru goes between their rooms and guides you to your next page.

Home: a land of magic, swords and fairies

Back home, these things are perfectly ordinary:

Stories are sung by bards in taverns, or copied by hand, one precious book at a time.
Far-off places appear in magic mirrors. Moving pictures are a wizard's illusion.
Work comes through guilds: adventurers, scribes, musicians.
Sword practice, dragon hunts, familiars, festivals in the royal city, stargazing.

Shioru asks: "Is it like ...?"

Shioru's comparisons are half right and half off. When the eaters explain "close, but here's the difference", things get concrete.
