メメンプーは、家を出た母を探すため、洞窟を探査して内部を地図にするマーカーになりたいと願う少女。父のガガンバーは元凄腕のマーカーだが今は肉体労働のワーカーで、当初は娘の希望に反対している。舞台は、岩盤で外界と分けられたコロニーの外に危険な未開地帯ラビリンスが広がる未来。
